Contract Pro-Fee Multi-Specialty Coder-
Aviacode is looking for a handful of experienced coders experienced in multi-specialty coding (E/M, procedures and surgeries).  This is for a long-term remote coding position, with the opportunity to move to a FTE or supervisory position.
Reports to: Coding Supervisor/Manager
Employment Status: Remote Contracted (1099) Position

Pay: $1.25 per CPT (except radiology $.45, IVR $1.75, and pathology $1.00)
Minimum Hours: You must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours a week
Maximum Hours:  40+ There is no maximum, you can work as much as you want.
Start Date:  Already started - new coders to project will start as soon as access is completed (approx. 2-4 weeks)
Position closed, but still accepting applications as slots are constantly opening up.


  • Providing high quality E/M, procedure and surgery coding across multiple clients and specialties.
  • Professional Fee Coding
  • This is a 10-40+ hour week position.


  • CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA
  • CEMC preferred, but not required
  • Must have at least 2 years of active E/M coding experience (*see below for list of specialties)
    • Must include coding POS 11, 21, 22
    • Must include coding of in-office procedures across multiple specialties
    • Must be able to code all types of E/M visits (ED, CC, home health, prolonged services, etc)
  • Must have least 2 years of active surgery coding experience (*see below for list of specialties)
  • Must have proof of passing an ICD-10 Proficiency or Readiness Assessment through the AAPC or AHIMA
  • Must pass Aviacode’s internal coding test
  • Signed contract with Aviacode
  • Must reside on U.S. Soil
  • Must have your own CURRENT CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPC books


  • This is a CONTRACT position for a long-term project
  • You will be coding E/M visits with in-office procedures and the ICD-10 codes
  • You will be coding surgeries and the ICD-10 codes
  • Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate.
  • You will be paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th. The pay periods go from 1-15 and 16-31.
  • This is a 1099 position.
  • Must have a Windows Based Operating System (MAC is not compatible).
  • If performance is good there is an opportunity to move to a FTE or supervisory position.

*List of Specialties:  

Reminder - You must have E/M coding experience, AND office procedure coding experience AND surgery coding experience in the SAME specialty. That means if you have E/M in family practice, office procedures in neurology and surgery experience with ortho then you are not qualified.  You must have experience in all three areas within the SAME specialty.
