Do you have two years of medical sales experience and looking to make your mark in Sales?  We’re seeking an ambitious Customer Account Specialist who understands consultative telephone-oriented sales and is eagerly looking to find, nurture, and close opportunities.  Medical coding industry experience is extremely helpful, but we are open to other healthcare related B2B sales.

Position Summary

The Customer Account Specialist (CASCAS) is a key member of the Aviacode Sales team.  Teamed with Regional Account Executives, the CAS drives revenue by finding, nurturing and closing opportunities with small accounts of less than $20,000 in Annualized Revenue, as well as identifying additional expansion opportunities as well as cultivate referrals to other opportunities. 

The CAS will also be responsible to work with account management to expand revenue opportunities for existing customers.

The CAS is responsible for consultative selling of Aviacode services including: medical coding and auditing services, denial management, clinical documentation assessment, and training services.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Meets monthly, quarterly and yearly sales and lead generation goals.

2.Works closely with the regional account representatives to establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned new customer leads and existing customer accounts.

3.Makes outbound telephone calls and emails to drive new leads and qualify leads.

4.Enlists the support of sales, account management, and management resources as needed during the sales process, including presentations, proposals, pricing, and agreements.

5.May be asked to lead account planning process for assigned accounts.

6.Collaborates regularly with key operations and client services personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

7.Keeps detailed records within the CRM (Salesforce) on all leads, accounts and opportunities.

8.Works with marketing team to execute email and other marketing campaigns.

9.Participates with sales and marketing team on key lead generation shows.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of medical sales experience – ideally in a consultative process.
  • Knowledge of account management process, with emphasis on growing sales within current accounts.
  • Experience with telephone sales.
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales within the sales process.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRMs and ability to keep detailed notes on accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, sales strategies, and tactics.
  • Ability to work together with more than one Account Executive.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to a week at a time with overnight stays.
  • Willingness to display personal and professional integrity throughout all aspects of the job.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of medical coding very helpful.
